BBC Radio Suffolk Website of the Day, November 13th 2003

However you spell or say it - Lowstuff, Lowerstoft or Lowstoft - Lowestoft is a seaside town on the east coast of England and the most easterly point of the UK is at Lowestoft Ness.

Lowestoft lies to the south-east of the internationally famous Norfolk Broads, a popular tourist attraction, although the town itself and the nearest "broad" are both in the county of Suffolk. The site includes local photographs of streets, attractions and other places of interest as well as personal insights and opinions about the town and the community. Lowestoft history and famous historical characters are recalled here, as well as tales of the beaches, piers and the fishing, and historic boats including the Lydia Eva, Mincarlo and Excelsior. There are many sections covering my personal life, too, because above all, this is my home site and it tells my personal story. Whether you're a local or planning a holiday here, whether you've met me or not, I hope you enjoy the site! You can leave a message in my guestbook or contact me in other ways from the "CONTACT" link in the menu above.
