Lowestoft Locations - Index
Click on one of the images below to go to a topic now, or choose from the
drop-down menu above from anywhere in the site, anytime.
You can also read brief introductions to the various areas of Lowestoft, with accompanying photographs, by visiting the Lowestoft areas map page.
Streets | A huge ongoing project to record as many Lowestoft streets as I can. This section will never be complete but should help people wanting to see particular areas in more detail, (ie potential home buyers or ex-pats who once lived there). I'm open to suggestions for streets to photograph so please contact me if you have somewhere in mind.

Interesting Places | This section represents a bit of a challenge! To many people Lowestoft doesn't have many interesting places. So I thought I'd seek out a few. I've stuck to areas I personally find interesting so that means some of the tourist attractions won't be here & some non-attractions will be. Of course many things won't be here just because I've not photographed them yet!
|
Parks | Strictly speaking, "Parks and Gardens" as this section includes Belle Vue Gardens, the ex- Belle Vue Park which is no longer a park even though it still looks the same. This section includes all those green and pleasant parts of the town which the planners haven't yet earmarked (as far as we know) for redevelopment in the future.

 Curiosities
| A place for the me to put the local images which I find amusing, odd, or just seem like worth recording at the time for no reason other than my idle curiosity. Not to be confused with Interesting Places, these are places that got the 'hmm, fancy that' reaction. Some are temporary & some are permanent. One thing is for certain, though, they all deserve a second look, well I thought so!

 Floods
|
A section on the more dramatic & photogentic aspects of Lowestoft weather.
Includes some areas very close to Lowerstoft but not actually in the town itself.
|
 Floods
| Aerial views of the town & some outlying regions, photographed from a small aircraft 'borrowed' from the air base at nearby Beccles. Making this flight was a wonderful experience that I can whole-heartedly recommend, & I hope these photos go a small way towards showing why they had such an impression on me.
