Little Fishing Boats
You may like to compare these images with earlier ones in the old fishing industry page.

Some general shots of the smaller fishing boats, all that now remain of the Lowestoft fishing industry. These pictures taken September 2002.
One thing you quickly notice, they're every colour under the sun.
G and E stands for Green and Empty - that boat at the moment!
High sided metal boats, maybe designed to go into bigger waves than most others here. That coil must hold a lot of net!
A more traditional looking boat, (I wish I knew & could tell something about all the different types - like where they go & what they catch).
This one made me think of a small wartime landing craft - any idea what that silver thing by the black steering wheel on the red post is? Please tell me via the guest book if you know.
These ones look like two Canadian canoes!
Maybe on these boats they just put the catch in that big space & go home when it's full. Love to see it if that's correct.
Was this one converted from a broads pleasure cruiser? You could be forgiven for thinking so!
